HBO Max Shares Another Gripping Trailer for Zack Snyder's 'Justice League' Remake

Arriving March 18th on HBO Max.

For years now, director Zack Snyder has been claiming to be capable of recutting his take on the Justice League into a halfway decent movie. Let down by the 2017 film, fans even demanded it, calling for the release of what has come to be known as the “Snyder Cut.” And with HBO Max locking in a landmark deal with Warner Bros., the newly forged partnership offered a very logical landing site for whatever the director was able to come up with.

Back in November, a Leonard Cohen-scored black-and-white teaser for the film surfaced, flaunting Superman’s new monochromatic suit and a first look at the CG redesign on Cyborg. And now, the film’s official trailer has arrived with flashes of new (color!) footage, a release date, and a surprisingly civil cameo from Joker, who was seemingly cut out of Batman’s desert-clad “Knightmare” dream sequence in the original edit of the film.

Justice League, in its initial (and presumably incoming) form, picks up where Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice left off. The world’s reeling from the death of the caped Kryptonian and bracing to face yet another new threat without him, which sends Batman on the hunt to assemble a superpowered squad of his own. He recruits Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg to aid him in defending the planet from Steppenwolf and his legion of little demons.

The “Snyder Cut” of Justice League is part of a hefty suite of DC Comics properties heading to HBO Max in the months ahead, including a new take on Suicide Squad, as well as new seasons of Doom Squad, Titans, and the breakout animated series, Harley Quinn.
