Texas-based Recording Artist/Entrepreneur/Philanthropist NOOK Turner has been putting it down for his state’s music scene for many years. He has gained a huge following, has been a respected name worldwide, is a community leader that has been responsible for many developments, and has a number of accomplishments throughout his career. At the end of the day, he has to ensure that he stays working, and makes note of that in his latest single, “Put Ya Hustle 1st”.
Released through Bread City Entertainment, NOOK Turner recruits the late Dallas rapper MO3, and Miami rap legend Trina for a heartfelt and motivating anthem about staying on the grind, and taking care of business regardless of what’s going on. MO3 handles hook duties, while NOOK and Trina further share some of the challenges they face while on the mission to make lives for themselves better. The single borrows from singer Jaheim’s 2002 classic, “Put That Woman First” on the production, and throughout the track’s melodic delivery.
Accompanying the single is a music video directed by Fresco Filmz and Honcho MGMT, and it features a mural in East Austin highlighting many fallen legends, and members of the community rocking “Put Ya Hustle 1st” t-shirts in support of the new single. The video was released in August 2021, and has secured close to 100,000 views since. In further support of “Put Ya Hustle 1st”, NOOK Turner plans to release merchandise, and continue the promotional campaign for the single well into 2022.
